Experience
I attended Barry University, where I earned my BS degree in Psychology. I then spent a year traveling the world, giving me the opportunity to experience a variety of cultures first hand. I have a lifelong love of learning, and I also love sharing my knowledge and skills with others. This makes me a natural tutor. During college, I worked as a private tutor for numerous subjects, including math at various age levels, Spanish at all levels, reading, and writing. I have also had success tutoring students who are preparing for standardized exams like the ISEE and SSAT, among others. One thing that is especially satisfying is when I have the opportunity to work with a student throughout their years in school, as I get to see them as they grow and learn, and continue to succeed. I use a very elastic form of teaching, so that my method can reflect the personality, strengths, interests, and challenges of each individual student I work with. I firmly believe that students are more successful when the receive the kind of targeted education that is only available from a tutoring situation. Outside of working with students of all ages, I enjoy reading, playing sports, and exercising.
